Elsy Mady MSN, MA, BSN, RN, CIC, CDI

Most consultants have worked inside a program. Elsy has built them.

Infection prevention, occupational health, patient safety, and continuing education departments — established from nothing, then led for seventeen years.

She began at Saint Maritime Hospital in Jbeil, Lebanon, serving simultaneously as Infection Control Officer, Occupational Health and Safety Officer, Patient Safety Officer, and head of continuing education. She built the surveillance systems and data management behind each function and reported healthcare-associated infections to the Ministry of Health.

Since relocating to the United States in 2021, she has worked as an infection preventionist across three health systems — running construction ICRA programs, leading HAI case review and NHSN reporting, and supporting Joint Commission, DNV, and ISO surveys.

She has been an APIC member since 2012, presented at the APIC Annual Conference in 2025, and teaches CIC exam preparation internationally. She is fluent in English, Arabic, and French, and holds an active Texas compact RN license.
